Campaign: Deliciously Ugly - Quaker Oats


Objective:
UK flyposter campaign that humorously highlights oatmeal. The headlines channeled the many ‘ugly-isms’ found in British slang, and redirected them to our bowls of admittedly ugly but delicious oats.” The term '‘ugly-isms’; ‘Bulldog chewing a wasp’, ‘Looks minging’ and ‘Walloped by the ugly stick’.


Why it works:

  1. Embrace your natural product, the good and the bad of it, and use it with humor

  2. Humor sells. Always has. Everyone loves to laugh, and when you laugh, you remember it and are more likely to share it with others.

  3. Perfection isn’t reality; messy is. Use natural language, quick words that deliver a wallop quickly.
